The Breakup by Michael Rakowitz at Lombard Freid Projects: This is a very well made collage documentary/art film. I walked into the gallery not knowing what was going to be shown. It was to do with The Beatles and Palestinians. They show the Beatles performing and cut into the film a Palestenian band playing. Sometimes, the Beatles are playing visually, but the sound is of a Palestenian band, vice versa. The whole show was a very important statement. yoko (via Photo by yokoonoofficial • Instagram)

Fluxfilm No.15: Eye Blink by Yoko Ono (1966) B&W, high speed camera 2000fps. It takes a billion light years for a blinking of a star to reach us. Likewise, the light from Earth will take a long time to reach another planet. By using this time warp, we can observe the Earth from different distances, one day, and record what happened on our planet on any given time in the past. All truth in the history of the Earth could come to light then. I am sure that the history of the human race, at least, is recorded in our DNA memory genes in its precise detail. So don’t look back. Look forward. Only then will the past be revealed to us. yoko

“Walking to the flat where I made Film No. 4 (aka “Bottoms”). I remember vividly. Victor Musgrave, 16 Rex Place, London. I got a call from him and he said I could use his flat to film Bottoms. I couldn’t believe it! Because of the incredible classy location and it being a most elegant London mansion, very classy people came to have their bottoms exposed! I was lucky. Sleep well, Victor, or have fun in the clouds like you used to! I love you! yoko”
